CHANGE PROCESS DESIGN AND FACILITATION

New Futures helps organisations design and implement processes for effectively tackling organisational problems and achieving desired results, in such areas as building commitment to change strategies, achieving buy-in to strategic planning processes, overcoming conflict between work groups (or key individuals), improving the effectiveness of 'stuck' teams, shaping shared understandings on major strategic or business issues, clarifying organisational values and creating more positive, learning-oriented workplace cultures.

Before describing our services here, it may help to clarify what we mean by 'processes' and 'process facilitation'.

In today's results-driven organisations, it's easy to forget that behind every positive outcome - unless we're relying on luck or chance - are high quality processes. By processes, we are referring not only to formal, or explicit, business processes, although these are clearly vitally important. We emphasise also the need to also engage with the more subtle, hidden or implicit, dynamics and influences that impact on the organisation's ability to achieve desired results.

The key to successful change and improvement is in integrating the explicit and implicit aspects of the organisation. Helping organisations achieve this integration is what we mean by "process facilitation", and this is a key area in which New Futures can add value.

The following pages elaborate on:

How Subtle Processes Influence Organisational Change and Effectiveness
These aspects include such things as the informal rules that govern communications, undiscussable issues, and the deep assumptions and beliefs that shape the culture of the organisation.

New Futures' Approach to Process Design and Facilitation
New Futures' approach emphasises capacity building and consultation processes to add value, increase enthusiasm and lower costs.
